Nope. I have been totally honest. No reason to lie IMO. I don't care that much what people think one way or the other. I also tend to believe most of what people say and I think people who stretch the truth tend to stand out.
I agree up until your last statement- how would they stand out? b/c some on the board say they have things that others may not? I dont think anyone is or has lied or "stretched" the truth and if so they are pretty good at it, then. But I dont automatically think someone is lying if they say they do or have or done things on here.

I don't see the point of lying on here. I am not out to impress anyone, besides one of the things I like about this board is that there are all kinds of people communicating on this board.
If you read what we post about, you can tell that some of us are in a very good place and some are struggling. I love that about this forum.

I don't see the point of embellishing or lying here. Like someone mentioned I plan on starting friendships, lying isn't a good start.
I feel extremely naive now. It never occurred to me that other people would lie. Now I look at the poll and wonder who does lie...

for the most part, i think this is a pretty friendly board. i am sure that some people do lie or embellish the truth but as others mentioned, i don't see the point. there were definelty a few that were obvious "liars" on LIW but i don't see that really happening here.

Me too. I read the subject line and responded before reading the rest of the post. I'm not sure why people would lie on a chat forum, especially since most of us don't know each other. I guess there are some people who always want to make their lives seem better than they really are.

I am always honest as well...That is just my nature though, I hate liars and lying and have such a guilty conscience if I even tell the litttlist white lie...I always was that way though.
I do think that sadly there are many people in this world that do lie. Some may do it unintentionally and many do it intentionally...

I don't really talk about myself like oh i got a haircut or oh I got a new car I talk about crap really so I tend to think I don't embelish ...by the way I drive a 2000 Honda Civic .... LOL no embelishing there !

I'm not a liar so there would be no reason for me to start on here. Especially when there are people who know me, who could call me out on it (my sister!)...and people with whom I've become friends with off-line. Nothing like starting a friendship with a lie...way to end that friendship pretty quick!
