Im so happy todays over, and the weekends begun (work vent)
Grrr.... my job completly stressed me out!
Im the "financial director" (fancy name for bookkeeper  ) for a daycare center.... I handle all the $$$ going in, and going out..
Primarily... the parents tutition. Tutiton for the week is to be paid on Monday, and then everyday its late its a $5 late fee...
The books have to be closed for the week on Fridays before 11:30.... So I basically dont charge a late fee, unless of course I close the books w/o the parents payment.
I have 2 families imparticular who owe me $$$$$. (Over a months worth of tution)The rule of thumb is...if your 2 weeks in the hole... we're supposed to disenroll you...
Well... my directors are friendly with these 2 families, and keep making "arrangements" with them.. (Like yea just pay us when you get your tax return  )
The BIG boss... came for a visit, and is not happy with this money owed... and is all over my @ss about it... but what am I supposed to do...
I call these parents and tell them they cant come back til there paid up... then my director tells them, they can...
I dont wanna "rat" on my boss... to her boss... because lets face it... I see my boss everyday...I see the BIG boss... once a month...but shes making me look like I dont do my job!!!!
Im so fustrated!

That's a tough one. Maybe you should talk to your director and let him know the "big" boss is really upset about the late tuition and he's insisted that you un-enroll those children. Blame it on the big boss to try to take the heat off of yourself.

I work in daycare too, with the kids.
Just going to say how happy I am its Friday!

It would be funny if we worked for the same center and didnt even know it.
