Provera worked fast this time!

Well I started the provera on August 10th, took it for 10 pills, my last one was taken this past Friday. And af started today already! I cant believe she is here, even if it is medically induced. The doctor told me to call them on day one of my cycle to let them know, but I have no idea why. I left a message for them. I wonder what step is next??

Also, is it a good sign the provera worked so fast? I remember the last time I took it, af didnt show until about 2 weeks after my last pill, this time only 2 days....does that hold any meaning??

My dose worked for me on day 3 after stopping - I think it varies with each person.

Then I started the Clomid on CD 4 - are you being put on Clomid?

Apparently not. She wanted to try me on Metformin thinking that I had an insulin problem but the nurse said all my tests came back "normal", so I dont know what that means for me now. And no one is calling me back! ugh!

I hope they call you back soon. They probably want you to come in for CD3 testing...and then the Dr. will tell you what med's she wants you to take.
As far as the Provera, I have had it take anywhere from two weeks to three days.

You definitely need to make an appointment for wed, for cd 3 fsh/estradoil bloodwork and a u/s. Did Dr. Saketos give you a u/s previously ? The u/s on day 3 is to make sure you don't have any cysts. I am glad the provera worked quicker for you. Sometimes we just have to jump start our bodies :) I think it's fantastic that you question everything. Stay on top of your healthcare, if your glucose levels are fine....you probably don't need metformin.

I dont know...when we first met with her she said she didnt need to see me again until October for some reason. So I have no idea why I am calling about my first cycle day..originally she said it was because she was going to tell me when to start the Met but now I dont know...


The nurse called me back and said she left my paperwork on Dr. Saketos' desk and that she would call me tomorrow to discuss the results. So I guess I will know more then.

I think everybody's body is different. I take Provera for 5 days and my period comes 3 days later.

October ? uggh. Tell her you want to be monitored before then. She probably figured the met wouldn't take effect until october. I would go in for day 3 blood anyway .....who knows if you even needed the met. I hate protocols.
