Anyone getting a gift from DH for giving birth??
I told my hubby that I want a white gold baby shoe for my daughters birth. Every girl in my family usually gets a piece of jewelery after she gives birth.......I thought these were just so precious (and don't break the bank) Anyone else have this tradition??  Image Attachment(s):

You should also FM mrsR she makes these beautiful charm bracelets. They are the tiffany style with the heart on the clasp and have three small picture frame charms-she gets the pics for you

DH surprised me with a pair of earrings that I really wanted. I had thought that he'd get me a small charm with the birthstone in it.

Call me crazy, but I asked for an elliptical for my "pushing present" (though, I never really got to the "pushing" part of it  ). DH's mom gave me the most beautiful heirloom pearl necklace the day I delivered...

And yes, I've already told DH that I think I'll deserve a nice little shiny something for giving up my body for 9 months, going through labor, delivery, and recovery

Gina, that is lovely! And yes, we got a white gold diamond pendant of a mother, child and husband all holding hands in a circular pattern, it is lovely! I am keeping it in the box for now and he knows to bring it to the hospital for me to wear home

I am due at the end of May so I'm sure DH will get me something for Mother's Day.
Me too, EDD is May 21st! I told him I wanted bling for Mother's Day and he said, the new house and Hawaii trip were not enough for you??? So I told him that That just about covers the pregnancy, but I want bling for giving birth!
Kidding aside, whatever he gives me (bling or no bling) I would be happy with and he knows that.

I got nuthiin...not even a card.
but I did get an offer of him getting up to feed her at night when he's off the next day and he unloaded the dishwasher yesterday without being asked

These were my pushing, late birthday, sorry for deploying and leaving you with a newborn during hurricane season when a huge tornado tore thru our backyard... present. He brought them home from deployment and then we had the three stones set at Whitehall.
The pictures don't do it justice.

I got a tremendous bouquet of flowers and he bought flowers for Delaney too w/a card that said welcome to our family which I thought was the most beautiful thing ever.
I did not get a push gift, however, the following mothers day (my second mother's day)...he bought me the diamond earrings I wanted.
