I am looking for something in a very light wood and not to expensive. Any ideas? TIA.

i am STILL looking for one. i am very partucular w/ the type that i am looking for. i prefer more of a library / bookshelf piece as opposed to a traditional entertainment center.
check out pottery barn, crate and barrell, pier 1, and ikea.

Try Macys clearance center in Westbury by the mall-I think it's on Old Country Rd. Quality furniture with scratches-my Mom bought one that looks perfect.

We bought ours at Levitz a few years ago, although I would not recommend buying anything from them now.
Both of the end pieces on ours have the glass door...

Rooms to go.....they have some really nice pieces, only problem is you have to shop online, however, they often have some great no interest payment plans which help if you can sock money away each month and then pay it off little by little. We have purchased few pieces from them , good quality...

When I went to Ikea last week, I saw NOTHING. I saw 2 of the larger pieces, then just maybe 5 pieces that the TV just sits on top, not enclosed.
Of the 2 that was enclosed, they were out of stock on one of them.
Maybe I was in the wrong section, everyone here keeps on saying Ikea!

Everyone is posting something large.
I went with something simple... a nice glass TV stand made by Bello (one of the TOP makers of TV entertainment stands).
Here is a pic of it.
It will actually be up for a sale in about a month or two since I will be wallmounting my plasma once I get it into my new house.

It comes in 2 colors, espresso and cherry I think it's called...it's kind of in the middle... not too dark, not too light... it's called the Brentwood...
