Did anyone watch the broadcast on cnn.com from 9/11/01?
I caved and watched an hour of it.
I was not home to watch it happen live, I was driving to work and at work when it all took place.
wow is all I have to say

I watched the whole thing today...it was very strange. I never got to see the orignal broadcast because i wasnt near any TV until the early afternoon. I had to keep reminding myself that this happened 5 years ago...and wasnt happening currently!!

They have a live footage of the memorial at the world trade center, and the pentigon, the lights and it is all live

the broadcast that we are talking about on CNN.com is a RE-BROADCAST of the ORIGINAL newscast on 9/11/01 from about 8:30am until the afternoon.....not a broadcast from today...

I had it on all day on my computer at work. I was at work that day and we did not have tv. I don't know why I had to watch it but I had to.

Saw the lights lit Saturday night when DH and I went dinner in Weehawken, I had to sit with my back to the window.
I did not watch the cnn.com rebroadcast. I saw the whole thing live (not on the TV, but from my apartment), from the plane hitting the tower until they both fell. I remember not wanting to be home alone that day, and desparately wanting to go to my father in Long Island, but all the bridges and tunnels were closed. I went to spend the day with my aunt and little cousin (who's 2nd bday it was that day), and driving home, was so eerie because there were no cars on the road, and I basically followed the stream of smoke from the towers all the way from my aunt that lives 40 miles south of the city, to my apartment that was 8 miles from the city.

I felt the same thing...I couldnt keep my eyes off the screen....like it was just happening!!!

same here. I initially was repulsed that CNN would re-play that live footage. but as soon as I started watching I couldn't stop! my heart was racing the whole time and I cried when the towers collapsed
