Guess who (FINALLY!!) has her co-op board meeting tonight!!!!!!!!

Well, this would be a really crappy post if it wasn't me, now wouldn't it?

It IS me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This has been far and away the longest, most frustrating process I have ever been through (99.9% due to the lazy bastards that work at the management company and the fact that they didn't return one of my seventeen messages over the course of three weeks). But that's neither here nor there because we are in the home stretch (pun sort of intended ).

And, we've been clear to close with the bank for about 2.5 weeks so as soon as we get the ok from the board , we're closing!!!

ETS: Anyone who has been thru these and has any advice, I'd love to hear it!! I've only done it once and that was as a renter in a co-op building.

DH and I were going through the same thing back in September. We are proud owners of a co-op. Going before the board was very easy. We were early, very social, friendly, and we listened, then replied, but at the end, open up the conversation. Make it friendly!!! Best of luck to you! I hope you get to close soon! And yes.. it was the most frustrating process of my life!

wow! meeting with the board was one of the first things we did when we got our co-op!

Good luck...it's easy! Our board was a bunch of old women sitting around drinking coffee b.s ing about everything. They loved us! Just be yourself, that would be the best advice!

If you are a smoker - don't go in smelling like smoke.

Be transparent with ANY $ questions, even if they seem invasive.
