Switching doctors
I am going to meet with a new practice tomorrow. I am not bringing my records because I want to make sure I feel comfortable with the new doctor before I make the change.
Has anyone done this during their pregnancy? What did you say to the new doctor? I do not know what to say and do not want to inslut the new doctor.
Thanks

Re: Switching doctors
My friend did this in her 4th month. She was very unhappy with her old Dr. and so she switched. She said it was the best move she made! I don't know what she asked though. I'm sure she had lots of questions!

Re: Switching doctors
I switched Drs too at 10 weeks. My friend referred me to her OBGYN. I asked my friend alot of questions before even making the appointment with the new Dr.

Re: Switching doctors
I feel bad doing this to my doctor, but I really want to get some second opinions and see a female doctor. Is it rude to tell her that I am thinking of switching and will have my records sent to her. I do not want to make the final decision before I go and meet her which is today.

Re: Switching doctors
I have a very similar question ---
I know that I am going to switch doctors because my current OBGYN is in Manhattan (where I work), but I want a DR out on LI, where I live. I am currently scheduled to have my first sonogram and first "real" visit with the Manhattan DR early next week. The DR on LI didn't want me to come in for the sonogram until after that. I don't want to cancel wiht the Manhattan DR because I'm really excited to have the sonogram and don't want to wait, but I don't know how to handle it when I end up switching (which will be immediately after the first visit.) Is it strange to have the first visit with a dr you know you're not going to use?
