Re: does anyone make italian salad dressing??
I don't measure so bear with me.
In a metal bowl pour some Balsamic Vinegar (maybe 1/4 cup). Add galric powder, oregano, salt, pepper, dry basil and wisk really well. Slowly add extra virgin olive oil, a little at a time and wisk very fast at the same time. Add a little, wisk a lot. If you can get someone to help you it's easier. I add about 1/4-1/2 cup oil by the time I am done. The ingredients emulsify and you get a vingarette.
I taste it and add more ingredients as neccessary.
I also do the above but with white vinegar, guldens mustard and honey, add the spices, and mix well then wisk in sesame oil. YUM.
The key is to wisk it ALOT and FAST and add oil very very slowly so that it mixes together to form a thicker dressing and not just oil and vinegar separated.
