Those that take Citracal + DHA prenatals
DO you take extra folic acid along w/ this, when i look on the box it says there's only 1 mg. I'm so confused. My obgyn said I don't need extra. What do you do? Also when do you take it? I'm starting tomorrow, I was going to take it w/ dinner.

You don't need extra --- they should have the right amount.

So glad you posted this because that is what my doctor just put me on. I wasn't sure either. I have 2 pills to take...sound about right? I'm afraid of them...they are HUGE!!!!

They are big, most vitamins are though. Yea, I have to take 1 tablet & 1 capsule. I took it w/ dinner tonight for the first time, and so far so good.

I've been taking them also.. I asked the dr. if I should be taking the folic acid also he said no, it wasn't necessary, but i was speaking to my friend who's a nurse she said if I'm taking them while TTC i should take the pre-natals ever other day and the folic acid on the opposite days. So that's what i've been doing till I get preggo again.. (well hopefully!!)

I am currently taking citracal and additional 400 mg of folic acid. If you conceive multiples, you are put on additional supplements, but the vitamin itself should be good until then. Evenings work really well with the vitamins because they won't make you ill!
