39 weeks... FRUSTRATED AND CONFUSED! HELP!
Okay, i am 39 weeks this Wednesday. I am feeling so uncomfortable... This morning i woke up to lower back pain radiating around to my lower abdomen. Also menstrual like cramps... they were intensifying, then letting up but not going away completely. I called in to work since i wasnt sure what the heck was goin on. I decided not to call the Dr, i'd wait to see if anything got worse thru the day. So i laid down again. Fell asleep, the pains went away. Woke up, and the back pain/abdomen pain returned for a while, then disappeared again.
I can feel my stomach getting hard then soft, with no pain, then again with pain. I go to the Dr tomorrow for my regular appt. at 5pm and I will be so mad if they tell me I am still at 1 cm. 
I dont know what to think, how to feel, is it early labor starting? is it just painful BH contractions? Do i wait to call the Dr. until contractions are so bad i cant talk thru them? Then i'm told sometimes you lose your mucous plug, sometimes you dont, sometimes your water breaks, sometimes it doesnt. And that BH contractions can be not painful, and other times can be very painful. So basically i have come to the conclusion not only am i having a baby, but i am also going INSANE! I really am so ready for my little guy to come out already!!!!!

I TOTALLY feel for you!!!!
I had the same feeling the past couple of days (esp. last night & this am), and I'm not even dilated a BIT!
I am 39 weeks today & I'm getting pretty damn uncomfortable.
So many hugs to you from another Momma-to-Be in the same boat!

I just wanted to wish you both well. When I had my 40 week appt. I was still only dilated 1cm, then, wouldn't you know it, I went into labor about five hours later!!! Things can get moving in an instant!

from what my dr told me, REAL labor contractions are menstrual like cramps that you can feel in your back while BH are the tummy tightening from top to bottom.
Sounds like early stages of labor to me!!! You just have to let the contractions become more regular---call the dr and see what the recommend!
