temperature taking question
i'm not the best sleeper and although my alarm is set for 7:30 this past week i've been awake earlier than that but stay in bed with my eyes clothes. I've been taking my temp at 7:30 but this morning i experimented and took it when i woke up at 7 and then again at 7:30. The difference was this:
7 am - 98.26 7:30 - 97.89
which temperature should i be using?

Re: temperature taking question
You should use the one you took closest to when you first woke up. That's what I would do anyway. If you are up early each morning, take your temp at an earlier time, maybe that will work better for you.
Once you wake up and start moving around in bed it's going to change your BBT so its best to get the true reading as soon as you wake up.

Re: temperature taking question
WOAH! That's a big jump!!! Did you take those temps at different times? Were you sick? Drinking alcohol at all the night before any of your high temps? Any PG symptoms? It *could* be an implantation dip - did you test at all? Have you charted before? Sorry for so many questions, just trying to gather info

Re: temperature taking question
lol they were all taken at 7:30, however I think at least one of those days i had woken up at about 7, but stayed in bed trying to fall back to sleep. No alcohol but i've been fighting off a cold since last friday. I'm pretty sure i'm not PG because DH wasn't home during ovulation this month. This is my first month charting. I'm thinking it just might have to do with me not feeling good.

Re: temperature taking question
Oh yeah, it could def. be that you were sick, that will change your temps. Also laying around in bed for a 1/2 hr will change your temp too. You can set your chart to ignore those lower tempsif you want, but I would just keep charting - the first month is tricky because you're learning and all.
Good luck and baby dust!!!
