Birth Announcements
DH is all excited and was asking me about birth announcements 
What are you all planning to do? Sending or not and to who, family - friends - co workers - neighbors? How long after the birth will you send? What will they look like, etc?
Also are you giving anything out other than the announcent and photo like cigars, chocolate, etc? DH is thinking cigars for sure

I had SonicStef do our announcements, we had them all designed before I had my daughter and then I gave her all the info and the picture right after she was born.. they were really cute! We sent them to everyone!

I think we will do chocolates or cigars at the hospital. My gf just used this announcement and I could kill her because I love it soooo much but I don't want to have the same one........ Image Attachment(s):

We're planning on sending announcements to everyone: family, friends, coworkers, neighbors...
I didn't think about what to do at the hospital, but now that you bring it up I bet my DH would really like to give cigars.

Where can I get cigars? Also, if we give cigars, what do we give to the women (not trying to be sexist, it's just that none of the women in my family will smoke a cigar).

you can get cigars at the Little Cigar Factory - I believe there is one in Merrick. I think they can even make you a commemorative wooden box, we got one with a stork and "It's a girl" and Angela's name and birthday engraved on the cover, and now that the cigars are gone we just use it as a keepsake box.

I love thesee however I might do my own on KOdak gallery. It is sort of boring there though. I want to include my older son in the photo for a sibling announcment

If you check on Ebay they have people that do them.
We used a lady that created announcements but I used it as a christening invitation.

My BF did this on shutterfly... It said something to the effect of. "Mikey want's to introduce you to his little brother..."
