Please help..."Party" Idea ?

My sis is having an ice cream social for my niece's 7 birthday..inviting 30 kids to meet for ice cream after school at a neighborhood ice cream shop
Sis doesnt want make big deal...too many presents (since it's only ice cream treat she doesnt want people to bring presents.) ...so it's to celebrate her birthday without going crazy. no mention of birthday on the invitation.but how could she incorporate birthday without asking for presents ?
She is inviting 2 classrooms so that she doesnt leave anybody out since my niece has friends in both classes.



Ideas, please. and What do you think of this idea ?

What about stating "in lieu of presents" the kids invited can bring a small toy to donate to kids in need.

in lieu of presents indicates that it's a party..it's more like coming out to have ice cream....like we adults will buy
people a drink at a bar...

very simple...Let's meet after school to have ice cream...short and casual

don't mention the birthday at all...if they are your neice's friends, then they should already know.

Join us after school for ice cream at Mr Smith's Ice Cream Parlor on Main Street in BlahBlah, NY at 3pm!

Have cute invites...like an ice cream cone or ice cream sundae!






if you use the 2nd picture, you can make the invites in Photoshop or another graphic program.

thx, i think she made up the invites..something similar to your idea...

my sis is going to bring bitesize cupcakes , too..,

so that they will sing Happy Birthday too.
