Concert tix poll
I was talking to a friend recently about Bon Jovi tickets she bought for a show and I almost did this
Just out of curiosity, what is the most you have ever paid and for what band/performer?

Re: Concert tix poll
With all the ticketmaster charges, I just paid $101 for Billy Joel. Luckily, my parents are going with us and are picking up the tab!
I usually won't spend more than $65-$75 on concert tickets (before the stupid charges)

These were awesome seats, but I still don't think I could spend more than $100 per seat, regardless.
And Stefanie about Jessica Simpson from me too

Re: Concert tix poll
I knew everyone would react that way to me, but I don't care... It was one of the best concerts I've ever been to. When I go to concerts or broadway shows, I have to sit close or there's no point in going.
I'd do it again in a heartbeat too....
I know...I'm a weirdo...

DH and I are splurgy on B'way tix too- I so love to go and we only do it a couple times a year.
There are few music performers I love enough to really pay all that much. I think the most may have been $50. Plus I am never that on the ball to get those really good seats!

Re: Concert tix poll
I have sat in seats that cost over 150 per seat but I did not pay for them (they were gifts from then boyfriends (so 300 for two seats)). The most I have ever paid was $95 for Simon and Garfunkle - I got them at cost to the performers for excellent seats at MSG for their friends tour about a year or two ago. One of my BMs is good friends with Paul and his enterage.

Re: Concert tix poll
The $82 I spent for the 100s at MSG for Depeche Mode was I think the most I ever spent for a ticket so far.

Oh wow - I never found out how much the seats should have cost but they were the front balcony level 100 (so just above the floor).
ETA: I got to go back stage and Garfunkel said so do you think the audience beleived we were really back together as friends. I was like yes it was realistic. He was really moody. Paul was entertaining all of these european dignitaries and promoters who wanted them to do a European tour. Garfunkel refused to come in to meet them because they met with Paul first. They were both very nice. I also met Paul's son. OMG such a hottie.

Re: Concert tix poll
I paid $150 a ticket for John Hiatt at the Stephen Talkhouse which was well worth it! The place only holds 150 people---we had VIP seats RIGHT NEXT TO THE STAGE

I ended up spending $300 for 2 tickets to Billy Joel at MSG on E-bay, but that is the most I have spent- I am obsessive when it comes to seeing Billy Joel in concert and I missed the ticket sales . . .

Oh, Bri..I'm hearing rumors now that he's not going to be playing at the Colisseum at all! I find that hard to believe, but I'll keep you posted. Now I'm thinking of going to a second show at MSG. He's supposedly going to announce a 10th one!

I saw interviews with them during that tour & they SO didn't seem to be friends! I guess they pulled it off for the show, but my friend saw one of the ones in NJ too & said it was exactly the same. I guess it was all very staged.
