Do you guys have a lock on your bedroom door?
(this is parenting related, I swear)
DH and I are in the process of gutting a co-op and have to pick out everything 
ANYway... I went to get door lock things last night and DH was all "we don't need a lock on the bedroom door" (even though the bed/bath door knobs all have locks on them). I was thinking we should... you know, to ward off any 'untimely visitors'  when we have kids. He thought I was nuts and that we could NEVER lock the door when we had kids.
So, I am posting it here... do you have a lock on your bedroom door?

YES. DH installed a new door in our bedroom before we moved in and made sure a lock was on the door. Friends of ours had their "little ones" walk in on them once and told us to make sure there is a lock before the baby comes because once she is here, it will be the last thing on your "to do " list.

Our bedroom has a lock on it. The kids rooms do not.

WE have a lock on our bedroom door, but we never lock it. Although Andrew is still in his crib at night, when he does start sleeping in his big boy bed, we want him to be able to come in if he needs to.

Yes we have a lock. Right now we never use it, but it's necessary, IMO, if only for the simple fact that when we have house guests I want to be able to lock my bedroom door when I'm getting dressed.

Nope no lock on the doors and I would never get one. My boys get up at night and I want them to be able to walk into our room if they need to or want to. I even leave the door open so they dont have to fiddle with the doorknob when theyre half asleep.
So far we've been pretty good about being careful, preggo with #3 over here 
and Im used to the no privacy thing with 2 toddlers  even if I locked it, theyd be banging and screaming to come in after me wherever I go. I dont even lock the bathroom anymore  and when I shower I leave it slightly open incase my son has to go potty (our other bathroom is still under construction)

Our room does. We do not use the lock but as the kids get older I see nothing wrong with locking our door for privacy.

We have one on ours but don't use it cuz Marissa can't open the door yet so if we closeit all the way she wouldn't be able to get in

We have a lock on our bedroom and the bathroom. Kids rooms don't. Not that it matter's he sleeps in our bed anyway.

I do not currently have one, but will be getting one. I will only use it for short periods of time, when necessary.  I will never sleep the night with the door locked. I too will probably leave the door open in case my DD needs to come in while half asleep.

We do. We would unlock it tho after were done.. . I think its a necessity esp when Ryan starts to get older.
