Help....stroller/car seat question

So I am reading my 2006 Consumer Report book last night as I want to be fully prepared when I register and I was wondering if it is necessary to get the Peg Perego infant car seat that fits into the Peg Perego stroller (Venezia)? Or should I register for the cheaper Graco infant car seat (which is rated high in Consumer Reports) and buy the stroller frame for the infant car seat and then just register for the Peg Perego Venezia stroller as well as registering for a regular car seat.

What did everyone do? I am being silly and trying to save money? Thanks!

If I had to do it again, I would have just purchased the infant seat and the universal carrier and then buy a stroller later. I think the stroller from my travel system is so bulky.

I have the Peg Perego Venezia and the Peg infant car seat (Villagio I believe). I never used the hand-me-down universal carrier we had because I always used to put the car seat right into the stroller. I believe you can get the Graco infant seat and still use it in the stroller.

This worked out best for us because Andrew was only in his infant seat for 3 months!! (he was a big boy!).

I registered for a Graco snug ride, and the graco universal carrier. I also registered for a seperate peg perego aria stoller.

I have the Graco Snugride and the Peg Perego Venezia. The Graco Snugride fits into the Peg Perego V. I didn't register for the Universal one.

Yes it does. When you register, ask them to show you how it works.
