Does anyone have a bread box?
Does it actually make the bread last longer?

Re: Does anyone have a bread box?
For instance, how long can the bread last without getting moldy? DH hates bread in the frig, but it goes bad so quickly if it isn't/

Re: Does anyone have a bread box?
it can last bagged bread like 2 weeks in the box. Makes a world of differnce versus putting it in ther fridge..which we used to do as well.

Re: Does anyone have a bread box?
can someone explain HOW it keeps the bread longer?
We used to keep our bread out, and then it'd go bad. I'm now resorting to keeping it in the fridge

not sure why but storing bread at room temp in a dark dry place will keep it fresher for longer.

Re: Does anyone have a bread box?
I believe if you store some items in a dark dry place it makes it harder for mold to grow---something with the yeast or flour
