I have fine, slightly below the shoulder hair that has loose or tight corkscrew curls, depending on the weather.

You'll need a round bristle brush and a hair straightening product, try Str8 by Rusk. Towel dry your hair, put in product and then blow dry your hair in small sections.

If you want it super straight afterwards run a hot iron over it to help smooth out the flyaways and straighten any "stubborn" sections of hair.

Good luck!!!

I do exactly what lori said.
I never have enough time in the morning so I leave it curly.

What I do is usually straighten my hair with a blowdryer, then a flat iron..it stays for a couple of days, depending on how greasy your hair gets.
I use ALTERNA-enzymetherapy, straightening balm..

its the best!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

IMO - this is the best thing ever created!! It's the Style Dryer by Conair. It brushes your hair straight as you dry it. I have thick hair that's past my shoulders and it literally takes me 5 minutes each side, if that, to dry my hair totally STRAIGHT!!!
I highly recommend it!!

Dry it in two layers - I wrap the top of my hair in a clip and dry the bottom first, then after thats dried, dry the top. Then I straighten it with a straightening iron. It rarely ever gets frizzy!!! Chat Icon

Thanks ladies! Wask, I have that thing but I guess my problem is that I don't dry it enough because it still curls or poofs up.

Okay, so how do I get rid of the poof? I have straight hair now but it is still fluffy or frizzy. Any tips?

I usually run a hot iron thru it and it brings down the poof and the frizz. Then finish off w/serum. Its a gloss, Citrishine makes one, that seals the hair. Be cautious how much you put in...can make hair greasy.

mrswask....that dryer really works??
Sounds like we have the same hair type. I normally will do the curly look, out of laziness but that sounds like a quicker plan for my am blowout.
Where can I purchase it?

I have super super curly hair and this is what works for me. I put a small amount of redken outshine in it and then brush my hair to distribute the product. I then divide my hair in two and put one side up in a rubber band. Then I divide the other side into two sections. I start with the back section, taking small pieces of hair and drying it piece by piece (leaving the rest of the hair in a clip) I wind the piece around the brush and put the blow dryer directly on the brush and pull the brush through my hair while the heat dries it. I then put the dry piece in a clip and go on to the next. I have a ton of hair and this takes me over an hour and a half but, it leaves my hair not frizzy or poofy at all.
