Saw the dr. last night regarding my anxiety....
he said no problem I can go back on my Paxil and he is not worried at all. He said at 9 weeks the baby is already developed and I am not taking a high dose anyway. He said he would be more concerned if I were smoking or if I was taking the Paxil when I first conceived. I feel such a sigh of relief. He has been a OBGYN for over 25 yrs. and his practice is named one of the best in the country, so I feel 100% comfortable. And he came out and said, I am not concerned at all. Your baby is going to be fine. He said I am putting more stress on the baby and he will worry more about the baby if I do not take medication. Such a relief!

I think its great that you decided to continue on medication. I too suffer from anxiety and know what its like to live with it on a day to day basis. I am not yet TTC but worry about what I will do when I am ready. Thanks for posting!

thats great!! I was on something for anxiety before getting pg and I have been thinking of talking to the dr. about going back on as well.

I currently take zoloft and my dr said that we'll talk about it at my first ob appt... but he didnt seem to worried about it.. I think if the need is there, then it outweighs the risk!
