New to message board
Hi everyone,
New to posting to this message board. My SIL nrthshgrl recommended it to me.
I'm posting because I have been ttc for 9 months and I've been on Clomid for 4 cycles. First started on cd 5-9 with one pill, then cd3-7 on two pills, then cd3-7 with 3 pills and just finished cd3-7 on 4 pills (the max). Every month my progesterone is low. I have a feeling I have PCOS. I am overweight, I have some abnormal hairgrowth (a few on my chin) I had gestational diabetes last year when I was pregnant (Nicholas - stillborn at 36 weeks) and I have the skin tabs on my neck. My doctor wants to check me out this month (he's only drawing blood and doing an internal) and then he says he's going to send me to an RE. I did some research on other message boards and found that a lot of ppl like Dr. Lydic in Stonybrook, so I was going to try him out.
Does it sound like to anyone that I could have PCOS even though I got pregnant in 11/04??

I really don't know anything about PCOS but it seems that you shoudl be seeing a specialist. Did you ever find out what happened with your son? Have you been diagnosed with PCOS? I thought there were different medications for that.

Thanks for the reply.
My son had a heart condition that they thought they could treat but ended up they couldn't. I haven't yet been diagnosed with PCOS, just wondering if it sounded like I had it. Thanks :o)

Welcome to the boards Lauren - so nice to see you here (well, on LIF - not TTC).
I decided to take a TTC break after 12 months, 2 months on clomid and 2 HSG's that showed a blockage. I wish I knew more to explain to you about PCOS - hopefully some other women will be able to help you 
May your stay here be very short

Thanks, Donna. I'm getting lots of help. I didn't realize that this was the board that Barbara met you on. I'm glad to see you here and still chuggin' away. I'm so sorry about the blockage. I wish I knew more of the terminology because I'm not sure what an HSG is. But a break is well deserved. Tell you husband to take you away someplace and sweep you off your feet, you deserve it!
