I wanted to know can you get up to shut off the alarm before you temp?

You are not 'supposed to" but, I really don't think it changes the temp all that much.

Well, why don't you just keep the alarm right by you bed on the night stand or something. I don't think you are suppose to be moving around at all before taking your temp.

You aren't supposed to. I had the alarm next to my bed and would reach over and hit snooze and grab my BBT at the same time.
