anyone know anything about E Setauket area???
Dh and I are going to continue our searching..... we saw something else in the E. Setauket area.. anyone live over in that area or know how much the homes are going for?

My friends live in Poqoutt, which is just north of Setauket. It's extremely nice...they paid $375 for their house two years ago.

My mom grew up across the street from Ward Melville and works in the 3 village school district. There are parts of ES that are really nice. Where are you looking? Houses are pricey due to the school district (which is very big and has a ton of money) - but less so than other towns in the district like Stony Brook.
FM me if you have any questions. We used to spend every day at my grandmothers house every summer!!!

I would love to live in 3 village...i grew up here and work here, it is just too expensive!! i think the most affordable decent house we were able to find was $375 when we were looking last spring...

Three Village is an excellent SD.

I grew up near Setuaket & dated/was engaged to a guy from East Setauket for years. We hung out in Setauket all the time. Its a nice little town, a lot of people that live there were born there, very small townish. Three Village is an excellent school district-all the HS kids from my district always went to ward melville HS to buy drugs -those kids were pretty wealthy & always had all the good stuff
I have no idea how it is now.

My parents recently moved there - they love it! They paid about $600K for their house (5 year old 4 bedroom).
Three Village is a great school district also.

I work right near there...It's a great area, pricey...I haven't seen much under $450, and the taxes are much higher than other areas we are looking, but the school district is really, really good.
