question regarding days after labor...
Hello mommies..
I did not get cut during labor but I do have a few stiches just because.. i am sore but it really hurts when I pee.. Is that normal??? and how long will it last. it kills..

I did get cut, but I think it is normal.
I had to use a water bottle and squirt water on it while I went- hope that helps!

Yes its totally normal for it to hurt while you pee. As long as its not unbearable then i would check with your OB. My pain down there lasted maybe a week, and i was cut. Hope your feeling better soon...

Definately use the squirt bottle. And I didn't really wipe. More just lightly patted to dry the area.
Did they give you a sitz bath? I said I wasn't going to use it since it seemed weird to me, but after a few days I gave in and what a difference! It really helped me feel better.
Oh, and they gave me an analgesic spray. Dermoplast maybe? It's also used for sunburns. That helped a lot the first few days.
Feel better.

Totally normal. Drinks lots and lots of water to help dilute your urine, it will burn less.

I tore and it STUNG when I peed for about a week...it slowly got better. Definitly use the squirt bottle with warm water and take the sitz baths (shallow bath with warm-hot water)
I also used dermoplast (a spray that takes the sting/pain away.)
DO NOT WIPE!!! It'll tear the stitches

Like every one else I used the water bottle & the sitz bath for stitches.
Also just in case -- I had allergies so I sneezed & coughed a lot after my first pregnancy and was paranoid I'd blow a stitch. My ob/gyn assured me that it would take a lot more than a sneeze or cough to do that.

I used the water bottle and the dermoplast. What also seemed to help is to tilt your hips forward when you go because then the pee won't head towards the back where the stitches are.
