BTDT Moms/Dads....How did you get ...

Your twins on a schedule. I am really dreading the thought of one being totally fine and the other waking them up if he gets up. Did you start it right away? I am only going to have about 8 weeks off from work once they are here and i would love to get them on one the sooner the better. Any tricks you can share or experiences???

I would love to hear any tricks as well! Mine are on similar schedules - But in the beginning it was pretty impossible for me. I hate to sound discouraging but I'm not sure its possible to get them on the same schedule that early.
Mine are 7 months and just starting to coincide with each other. They also sleep in the same room - but so far I haven't had trouble with one waking the other, unless of course one is screaming really loud.

My boys were on great schedules at the NICU.

But what I did was the frist one to wake to eat, I alwasy woke the second and fed them. I forced them to be on the same schedule and at 9 months they are like clockwork.

It was very hard to get our kids on a schedule. We are still trying to perfect it (they are 13 months). In the beginning, they were very off schedule. That was good, so we could focus our attention on one at a time. However, we had no time to do anytning else. I would suggest doing things at the same time for both everyday - feeding, changing, bathing, etc. Since about 4 months, they've pretty much have been in synch with one another. Matthew tends to sleep more than Jillian though.
