Body Wave? ... pic. included

I was just wondering if anyone has had there hair done with a light body wave, I want to get this done, but nervous, haven't had one since the 80's !! I am looking for really loose curls.

sorry-I don't have a pic...I actually have pin straight hair that I highlight.. I have wanted my salon to do a bodywave on me so bad, and they refuse to. They say that it will just make my hair frizzy and hard to manage. I don't know if you color your hair, but they say that the chemicals will wreck it. The last time I had a bodywave was in the 80's also. I remember that when it grew out it looked so funny also because the top half of my head was straight and the bottom half was curly.

I do get my hair highlighted...often, these are the styles I was looking for, my hairdresser, who is my sister-in-law didn't say if it would damage my hair or not. What do you think?
