In the summer, do you wear...
a hat to minimize the amount of sun on your face?
I know this is early...it's not even summer...
I have this melasma condition on my face (thanks to pregnancy) where I can't sit in the sun because I'll get a dark pigment that comes out and makes me look like a friggen raccoon. Soooo...I was looking for something that I could wear that doesn't look stupid while I'm out on the beach this summer.
I will NOT wear that big JLO floppy hat either...

You should so rock the JLo floppy hat...or like the one that Rachel wore in that FRIENDS episode!!! 
Oh and yes I wear a hat if I know I am going to be out in a place where there is no shade.

I wear a baseball cap on the beach...it helps keep the sun off of my face and also allows me to read easier

I've been known to rock a J. Lo hat. It's better than getting a burn! And baseball hats don't give the same coverage.

ugghhhh. i have melasme too, but get it on my upper lip so it looks like a mustache! i started using triluma, but being that you are pregnant i know that you cant.
i do put on sixty sunblock every time i leave my house, including in the winter on the spots where i get affected. i havent tried a hat yet, but id love to, so girls post some pics please!!

I get dark pigment on my face from the sun too. I wear Olay lotion with 30 spf on my face every day - winter and summer. When I go on the boat I put the highest block on that we have.

definitely wear high sunblock on the spots every day. that helped out last summer a LOT and i wasnt using tri luma then. good luck!

That's okay!!  I still have these spots from pregnancy...is what I should have wrote..
I'm also worried that they'll really come out when I go to the caribbean. Can you still get tan on your face without those spots turning darker?

last summer was when i started using the sunblock 60. i wanted 75 but couldnt find it. my face did get tan and although the spots were visible they werent anywhere NEAR what they were in the past. in fact they were barely noticeable to other people.
and i brought the sunblock with me to the beach and reapplied a lot. i think sunblock is key.

I have this one from Banana Republic, but last year's version has a ribbon around it. I like it...I get burned so easily that I always have to have lotion and a hat unless I want to peel. Beware though, it's blown off when I've been on boats!
