Moms- need opinions on furniture!
I have started to search for baby furniture and wanted your opinions. I love the sets at Behrs but as you know they are sooooo expensive (2500 and up). I am not crazy about the BRU ones but I went to Behrs first so... We are currently renting and saving for a house so we dont have money to waste frivolously. I am also thinking that the cribs can be made into toddler beds and then twin or full sized beds so its an investment of some sort. I really dont know. What do you think? What did you do?
Please help.

We were having similar feelings as well. Try BBB. They have nicer lines than BRU, but they are less expensive lines put out by the same co's that Behr's carries.

We didn't find anything we loved at BRU either, I definitely found that BBB had a better selection and some higher quality furniture options.

Does it have to be new? What about craigslist. You can get top of the line furniture cheaper or same price as BRU.
I have seen some really nice sets on there that don't even look like they were ever used!

I think your best bet is shopping around and using coupons for BBB if they are available.

I got my from BBB and got a whole bunch of coupons from Ebay and saved 20% on each piece.

Thanks ladies. Luckily I have time so I will go to BBB today maybe and continue to look I will also check out Craigslist. Thanks for your ideas.

I don't think it is worth it at all. Why not buy some seperates and put the rest of the money away in a savings account for junior! The baby won't care what he sleeps in, as long as it is comfortable. I have a crib that was like $150 and I think its fantastic...it has a crib top changer, but I barely use it anymore and I have a dresser and some shelves.
They are only going to sleep in the crib for what, 2 years, by that time you are going to want to redecorate and maybe get a toddler bed or a newer bed.
Thats my opinion.

same here...we wound up going with a great set at BBB and even though the dresser was like 600 bucks , the crib was only $399, with a great rating in Baby Bargains.
AND, it was delivered in 4 weeks!

I did this too and saved about $350, when the BBB coupons come out, people sell them on e-bay. I paid about $15 for 4 coupons, that saved me a lot more. Search BBB coupons on e-bay, I'm not sure if new coupons are out yet.
