Hypoallergenic Homes ?
What have you done to make your home hypoallergenic as much as possible?
air filters- Which are the best?
We are getting a hypoallergenic dog (yes, I know dogs are not truly hypoallergenic) and I read about wiping your walls down with Rolls? Does anyone have these and where do you buy them?
I already shampoo my carpet frequently. I am just curious what everyone else does.
Thanks for the feedback!

Re: Hypoallergenic Homes ?
Other than getting rid of our down comforters & pillows, I haven't done much.
I remember reading that Kelly Preston started an organization after her child got really sick. It's called Childrens's Health Environmental Coalition . The website is full of great information, including companies they recommment, ie. IKEA boasts an environmental policy that prohibits the use of PVC, formaldehyde-based glues, brominated flame retardants, and other toxins, and supports the use of environmentally friendly, sustainable and recycled materials.
They have a partnership with Green Home . Their website sells approved products (which I'm sure you can find elsewhere).

Re: Hypoallergenic Homes ?
my DH is an enviormental inspector & one of the things he always says is wall to wall carpet is the worst for people that have trouble.
In our townhouse I ordered the air fitlers for the central air from air filter now.com

We have hardwood floors and I swear, I can start a zoo with all the dust bunnies, but it got me thinking that the same debris would only be collecting in carpeting rather than get swept up with wood floors.

Re: Hypoallergenic Homes ?
Thanks girls, you have been most helpful! I will definetly look into those websites.
I totally agree about the carpet. But, unfortunately, we don't own a home yet. So until then, I will continue to wet vac.
