Suggestions on a 2nd Job?
my boss is having trouble. our store is not making good money.
SO, instead of firing/laying off one of the HORRIBLE workers who do NOTHING... she has decided to instead cut ALL of our hours.
i only work 25 hours this week!
I SO need to do somehting on the side.
any suggestions?!?!?

I work as a part-time bartender and have been able to support myself by working 3-4 days a week for the past 8 yrs. The income changes a little, but I usually pull in on a 4 day week $900-$1000. Cocktail waiting is also good for extra $$$.

see, i REALLY have been wanting to break into bartending... i would love to do it FULL time... but i dont know how to get that first job, ya know?
i am pretty friendly with "my" bartendar.. maybe she can give me some tips. i usually see her Fridays.
that is what i really want to do though.
i think my hours off will be pretty consitant though.
my usual work schedule (before teh cutting of hours) is..........
Sun: off
Mon: off
Tue: 4-9
Wed: 10:30-7:30
Thu: 4-9
Fri: 10:30-7:30
Sat: 4-9:30

I used to waitress as a second job and made a nice amount of money. I actually made more per hour what I made at my "real" job.

thats a good idea for me too.
i'm pretty good with people and have waitressed before.
All kinds of places. I have cocktailed in high scale martini bars, neighborhood pubs and a jazz club. Sometimes it does require food service, but after a certain hour the kitchen usually closes and then it is all about drinks. I would just check out Craig's List and see if they have any listings.
