Am I being a brat?
Tell me the truth because i can't be sure about my emotions anymore 
I am due tomorrow. No sign of labor though (not dialted at all, no sign of plug etc).
My SIL from out of town has a wedding on LI this Sat. She called to ask about local hotels which I promptly gave her a list. DH jumped in and offered our couch which she accepted. Now I know she won't be around long cause she is going to the wedding but.... WHAT IF I happen to start having contractions that night!!!
DH thinks I'm crazy. Am I?

I can see why you would be upset...don't worry about it. Like you said, she is just sleeping there, not looking for you and Dh to entertain her. If you do happen to go into labor, just make sure you tell her to lock the door behind her when she leaves Sunday.
Don't worry, it will all work out

I completely do not blame you - if you do go into labor you don't want to have to worry about a 3rd person being there. My own mom offered to come stay with us the week before my due date to help get things ready and I said no for that very reason - if I do go into labor I don't want to have to worry about anyone but DH and me. Ideally, you will labor at home for quite some time and this will be a very private time for you. So - no - I don't think you are being a brat at all.

If you're being a brat...then I guess I would be too. I would feel the exact same way as you do...why should anyone have to come sleep over your house when you're about to go into labor (possibly)? Why would you and DH need that extra person to be worried about?
I totally understand how you feel...

I think you are totally justified in how you feel. When I was laboring at home and having contractions I didn't want anyone but DH around. It is a very personal time and you shouldn't have to be dealing with a 3rd person in your house.

When it comes to pregnancy, I say all bets are off, you can act as bratty as you like! And for the record, you don't sound bratty.

Yay!!! I was hoping to have you guys on my side. I know the odds of me going into labor on that particular day are small (although not that small) but I just don't want to have to worry about it. Hopefully I can nudge my DH a bit more. Thanks for the support
