Curb Side Delivery
Turns out just about everything being delivered to the new house is curb side delivery. I actually got an attitude from one guy bc I asked him if he could leave it in my driveway rather than the "curb" even offered him money to bring it in...he was a jerk.
Another delivery he couldn't even take it out of the truck for us...completely ridiculous.
Now I have couches coming on Tuesday and once again I will be the only one at the house and they are only curbside, so I'll be sitting on my new couches in my driveway....so ghetto.
Is anyone else encountering this a lot? Before this I've never even heard of only curb side delivery.

i have honestly never heard of a furniture store not bringing the furniture in.
If I knew that I would never order from them

Oh no!!
Maybe you can talk the guys into bringing it into your house? I'm sure if you grease them a little, they can bring them in?

Same here. The only time I had this issue was with Home Depot.

Its actually several different places. One is a furniture store in CA that we got our couches at cheaper than here, Ifloor.com was another and another NC furniture store we got an armoire from. Its really ridiculous. What if I wasn't married and didn't have dh and his friends to carry it inside.
You pay so much for furniture and delivery yet the delivery is really just pushing it out of the truck onto the street...I'm sure these guys probably think we should tip them for doing that too. imagine that.

OH my god. I just had the visual of you sitting in that driveway on the couch until your DH gets home from work. 
And - Tyson sitting right next to you looking at you like "What the heck are we doing out here??"
Maybe Molly and I will swing by to keep you guys company!

When my girlfriend had her bathroom redone, she found her bathtub sitting in her dirveway!!!! The guys didn't even ring the bell to tell her they were there!!!  he said they don't bring things inside, something about their union or job duties.....anyway, she called the store, and they gave her a hard time too. Eventually, 2 of the managers came over with equipment to move everything in for her. They said they were doing this as a "courtesy" Guess she was supposed to bathe in the front of her house....
