Work tomorrow...
I am of course already thinking about it...I live in NJ and all the roads I have to take are through the mountains. My Toyota Corolla doesnt handle well in the snow, and , well I hate my job  so I am thinking I am not going in tomorrow! I'll see if they are closed....the organization has 2 schools that they operate so sometimes if they are closed we are closed...but not always since we are the admin office. We'll see. Otherwise I'll have to have my DH drop me off and pick me up in his jeep.
What are your plans?

Unfortunately, bad roads or not, I really do need to go tomorrow. Certain people at my job seem to think that because I am pregnant, I will suddenly abandon my work responsibilities Nevermind the fact that I have spent two and a half years at this school busting my @ss more than most other people So I will be there regardless. I don't want anyone having a reason to pin me as a lazy employee. (My boss, however, does not think this, but I keep worrying he will)

if nyc school are open i will be there i really dont live that far so i feel bad saying i cant make it when i know there are people form NJ and staten island coming in. i work in brooklyn

the only way i would have off is if theres a 'State of Emergency' called for tomorrow. other than that, we dont get snow days.

I work in the IT Department of a large Medical Group & we are ALWAYS open so I will be there. I don't drive and my normal ride to work originally took the day off so I have to call my alternate ride in the morning. If for some reason she says she isn't going in then I'll have to walk because there are no buses tomorrow.
ETA: We are open & expected to be there even during a 'State of Emergency'

I have a little Civic too, it does OK in the snow, not great. Putnam County seems pretty efficient with snow removal and NYC schools seldom close so I am not even letting myself think about the possibility of not going. I also had to take one day in Dec. because of a storm in progress. I need to save my days for those.
Besides, it's only one week till vacation!
