After Lost tonight, there are 2 weeks of repeats
When did shows start doing this? I remember a few years ago they would do X amount of new episodes, and then repeat all the episodes. This is so frustrating! I hate the 1 new episode, 3 weeks of repeats, 2 new episodes, 4 weeks of repeats.  It really makes me lose the flow of the show!

I am getting close to just giving up all cable and just renting the tv shows when they come out on DVD. The only shows I really watch are Lost & West Wing and I think between the two there have been maybe 6 new episodes since December

Yes- it will be about Claire. I believe she will start to remember what happened when she was kidnapped last season.

keeps the show fresh and cuts down overkill

Maybe, but it also loses viewers. Except for my 2 favorite shows, I won't watch shows like this. I don't watch ER that regularly anymore because I can't follow a storyline because of all the hiatuses for repeats. I would If a show I was starting to get into did this, I would stop watching it.
Last year Despserate Housewives did this so much that people threatened to stop watching unless they had X number of consecutive new episodes- which they did.
