Baby Bug is Hitting Hard
I am on the last 2 months of BCP and then I will be waiting for my AF to regulate naturally and then start taking th prenatals for about 2-3 months then TTC time!
I was driving to work today and I found myself jealous of the moms walking with strollers and holding hands with their toddlers and here I was going to work.
I just cant wait to start TTCing.
When you went off the BCP, how long did it take for your AF to be on a normal schedule?

Very exciting Diane and Im in the same boat....Major baby fever.
To answer your question, Its going to be the 3rd cycle since off BCP and this past month has finally become normal.
For others, I know it has taken time and im sure has to do with how regular you were pre BCP.

As we get closer to TTCing (we will be starting this fall/winter). I think about it more and more and get more and more excited and anxious to start rather than the fear that I once felt about the whole pregnancy thing.
Last night DH and I were eating dinner and I just looked at him and told him how excited I was to start our family and how I can't wait for us to take that next step in our lives.

For me it took 2 months to become regular, then came baby!

I'm in the same boat too. I think I will stop taking BCP in August, then I was advised by my OB/GYN to wait 6 months before TTC (although I've heard some doctors say less time).
I started taking Women's Once a Day vitamins in July (I should be taking vitamins anyway) just to get a good start at things.
I have my first appointment at the end of September with Dr. Hanauer and I will discuss this with her and see what she recommends.
I think we will officially start TTC in December/January.

When I came off the pill after 10 years, I got my first AF after 32 days, the next month it came after 23 days, then I got my BFP the following month....good luck

I was on BCP for 8 years, on and off. My cycle was normal after one month.

Thanks everyone!
I think I will also make that pre TTC appt with my gyno once I see my AF is normal to show him the prenatals I will be taking and one final pap and all that "good" stuff.

I just got my first AF after stopping the pill and it took about 80 days to come. I am not sure if it even is really AF because it has seemed to stop after a few hours

My first AF came 24 days later. Since then my cycle has been about 26 days. I just completed by 4th cycle off BCP (3rd TTC). Before BCP my cycles were longer than that and AF also doesn't last as long as pre-BCP so I think that my body is still adjusting.

for about 1 or 2 months and got PG.
It will happen just enjoy trying TC

I hear you about the bug biting HARD. I just went off BCP, but we won't be actively trying for a few months. I'm in grad school full time and flying weekends (flight attendant), so being pg probably wouldn't be smart. BUT, I'm 33 and ready to start a family- NOW.
Good luck to you- thanks for asking the question about being regular after BCP, I had the same question....
