Christening locations...(Nassau County)
I'm looking to have Jared's christening at the end of September. Does anyone have any suggestions for a nice restaurant that's not too expensive in Nassau?

My bridal shower was at The Nook in Wantagh. I loved it there.

D I C K and DORA'S in Massapequa. They have a private room and excellent food. Also, there is a place by me on Merrick ave called Rana's, its Italian and I know they have very reasonable prices.

I really like Peppercorns in Hicksville. My bridal and baby showers were there. And we had Sarah's christening at Hemingway's in Wantagh. We had the small room in the front since it was only 20 people, but they will give you the whole upstairs for a bigger party.

Thanks Stefanie I am trying to decide where to have the christening and didnt even think of a restaurant. I was thinking of either renting a tent and having the party in the backyard or renting a vfw hall or something. Now I will be checking out restaraunts. My baby shower was at Antonette's restaurant in Merrick and the food was excellent!

if you want to rent a hall.. the wantagh knights of cloumbus next to the railraod station is great!! very nice inside and they have a bar with beer/wine & soda and a server/waitress to help you or whoever you have to cater it... i think it's $350 for 4 hours, we had our Engagement party there and my SIL graduation party was there as well.... it holds i believe 120 people!!

Peppercorn's is really good.
Check out La Novella in East Meadow.
I had my Bridal Shower at George Washington Manor is Roslyn Village & loved it.

I had my bridal shower at the Milleridge Inn and my baby shower at the Lucky Duck in Garden City. Both were great!

What about Pompei in West Hempstead. they have a private room and I was recently there for a bridal shower and the food was really good!!

Places close to West Hempstead that I have been to and liked:
Pompei - WH
Lucky Duck - Garden City Couth
Carmelas - Franklin Square
Filomenas - Franklin Square
Jonathan's - Garden City Park
Chadwick's - Rockville Center
There are also a few places in Malverne, on Hempstead Ave, near the train station. I haven't been to them, but they might be worth checking out.
