St. Baldrick's Today - Northport/East Northport
Any of the ENPT/NPT LIF'ers going to this?
I 'm headed up early to see my nephew get his head shaved. His friend that just had the bone marrow transplant is doing the first ceremonial swipe to shave his head (which is why they need to go so early - he's still really not allowed around crowds).

I wanted to go but one of our subcontractors is at the house doing tile today so I think I'm going to miss it.
My cousin did it years ago when he worked on Wall St.
It's a great way to raise money for a worthy cause.

i'm proud to say that my manager and her dh are part of this wonderful charity event, and have raised millions of dollars over the years! 
i would shave my head, but i'm too chicken!

At Napper's?
I was there last year - a beautiful little 8 yr old girl that I became close with (through my job) is now cancer-free 
Last year was not a good year...and her little brother shaved his head for her!  He's doing it again this year, for other kids like his sister. They are such an amazing family...
Barb - keep an eye out for Nichole O'Connor...she's an honoree.

I'm glad to hear about it. Actually we have 2 people we're going for...one of Joseph's classmates at school is shaving his head for his 9 year old sister.

eta: I can't get a time off the st. baldrick's page, but the Nappers page says 'starting at 6pm'. No one is answering the phone there, though.

It started at 12ish - I saw they were still shaving. Jordy was able to make it up to shave Josh's head. They were the ones that kicked it off. Local papers were there taking photos, etc. I'll post a picture once I'm done editing my cousin's bridal shower pictures.
