Anyone else not know many other children?? Sad about AJ'S birthday

On Dh's side there are only a few kids right now.. most of them are REALLY young and they are from SI anyway and probably wouldn't come for Anthony's birthday party since we are never invited to their childrens parties.
I have my Nephew who is 6 months older then my son. And no kids on my block. I am young so none of my friends are married or have kids.

Anthony is turning 3 in January and I would love to have a big fun party for him with lots of other kids but we just don't know any

I just feel really bad b/c when we go to the park and he is around other kids he has SO much fun. I know it will get better when he goes to school next year but I am still a little sad.
All his birthday parties have been him, his cousin ( my nephew) and a bunch of adults

can you join a play group? my sister used to go to a play group at a church nearby. Or a gymboree, something like that? that may be a good way for him to meet other kids

I don't like the mommy and me classes around here but I will try the other things!

Also the park near us is under construction all summer so that has been hard.. we have to take him to the park near my MIL's house and theres always much older children there.
