I'm so happy you're ok, but definitely look into this further. Hopefully you'll be compensated for the damages. Good for you for calling the police. A police report is always necessary if you're thinking of filing a lawsuit. If you go through your insurance, your insurance will probably go up. The main thing is that your OK and well.

I am glad to hear that you are ok - but I do hope you got a dr to check out your neck if it hurts. I would definitely contact the insurance company as the damage might extend to medical bills if you have whiplash or other injury. If he didn't have insurance you might have to contact an attorney to get those bills paid.

just to add, dont settle for anything, go through insurance... there are some health problems that might not show up right away, I would go and talk to a lawyer too...

OMG Rachel!!! I'm glad the car isn't messed up but PLEASE go to the doctor to make sure your baby is ok.
My best friend got into an accident (but a lot worse) when she was preggers and thankfully the baby was fine.

Thanks ladies I am going to the doctor today. The only reason we were going to give him a chance to pay was because we have a 500 dollar deductible on our collision insurance, and I just don't have an extra 500 bucks laying around before the holidays But I really do not feel comfortable not going through insurance. I just have that gut feeling that I'm going to regret it if we handle it on our own. So I 'll have to see today. We have an appt today to get an estimate, then we'll see what happens. Thanks everyone for the advice and well-wishes
