I am a regular poster on here but I don’t want to say who I am yet. so.... I am using CONFUSED as my screename b/c that’s the best way to describe how I feel right now.

I was not due for my period until this Friday but decided to test Monday since we have been trying and I was thrilled when I got a BFP. I went to the dr for blood test to confirm I was in fact PG. I went to the gyno today who said I am PG as well from a urine tests. Here's the thing though.. the dr faxed the blood test results to my gyno who said my HCG levels are very low around 50 when the normal for the number of weeks I am is much much higher so she said stay positive but be prepared for a chemical pregnancy. According to my calculations I conceived probobly two weeks ago today/tomorrow but she said that my numbers are that of a week or so conception.

Hers my questions
1) Did this happen to anyone else this early?

2) How do you handle it?

3) Did you get your period on time or was it late?

4) Could i only concieved a week ago if i ovulated two weeks ago how long does it take for implanation?

The one thing that is keeping me sane about this whole thing is that at least I know I can conceive. That was one of my biggest fears. I know that sounds sick but if this pregnancy is going to end I guess I have to accept it and be happy knowing that I don’t seem to have any conditions preventing me form conceiving and we try again next month.

Bur I don’t normally do this but I am asking for all you LIF ladies for prayers and good wishes that this pregnancy does come to be.

As far as the ovulating thing goes.... I know what the norms are...but I also know everyone is different...so I wanna say ANYTHING is possible...

1. Yes, I had one the cycle before I got pregnant with my son

2. I knew I was pregnant from an EPT and urine but then got my period/miscarried 6 days later which would have been 2 days late if I would have not taken an early test

3. two days late.

But luckily my next cycle I was pregnant with Jack.

The wierd thing is it took me being a few days late with Jack to get a Positive result.

It was a sad time and since then I will never take an early test again. I will wait till I'm late. Because we got so excitied and then it was over so fast, Feel free to fm me

My first beta number was 37 (that test was done on the day I was due) then my 2nd one was 50, I can't remeber what my 3rd one was but it was a little over 100.

Maybe you mis calculated your O date or had late implantation. Plus you were not even due yet so I can't see how a number of 50 is bad.

i had the same thing happen i was PG and then miscarried 2 days after i was supposed to get my period, my doctor said its very common and if you were not trying to get pregnant and did a test i would have never known , he says it happens alot.....2 months later i am Pg agian......good luck and

I wouldn't give up hope just yet - HcG numbers vary considerably during the first few weeks of pregnancy and are never a good indicator of the viability of the pregnancy until you get another blood draw to see if the numbers are doubling or not. Here are some websites that talk about average HcG levels for the earliest stages of pregnancy... hope this helps
