Been charting for a week and I have a question...

I've only been charting my BBT and today is the 3rd day in a row that my temp has been the same (97.3). Can that be right?

This will be the first of many questions I'm sure, so TIA!!

Is it a new BBT? I guess it is possible, but sometimes it means that the BBT needs a new battery.

It's BRAND new! I've only been using it for a week, if the battery needs to be replaced already I better find a better BBT. Maybe I'll see what happens tomorrow. THANKS!

Are you sure it is a BBT thermometer, did you get it in the family planning section? The BBTs go to 2 decimal points, which is where you see the differences....ex. 97.32 one day, 97.38 the next...shows as a big change on the chart...

97.3 would be a normal thermometer...unless it is 97.30 two days in a row which is kinda strange...

OK, I'm confused now! Yes, it's a BBT thermometer, the pharmacist helped me pick it, it's BD brand, it even came with the ovusoft software and charting info so I'm certain that it's a BBT.

What to do???????

Well then if it is BBT, just chart a few more days and see if your temps change at all. I know when I started taking my temp a while ago, I used a regular thermometer, not realizing how sensitive a bbt thermometer is. Needles to say I am a big dummy....

I write down the temp on a pad next to my bed right away - that way I don't screw it up when I go to put it in my chart.

I once had the same temp for 5 days straight, so it can happen.

I also have the BBT that only shows 97.3 or so. I've had 2 days in a row with the same temp but I end up checking at different times. Are you always checking at the same time every morning? Not sure if that would make a difference or not

Stable temps are a good thing. It means your hormones are balanced. Don't worry about getting the same temp several days in a row, it's completely normal and ideal !!!
