Emotional Side Effects?
Anyone on any kind of hormone treatments finding themselves with emotional side effects?
I've been on the Prometrium for 5 days and I'm crazy irritable (emphasis on the crazy).
I've just about had to isolate myself because I snap sooo fast for very little reason.
Today's my last day so I'm hoping I snap out of it, but it's really awful.

Re: Emotional Side Effects?
Clomid (or clomood as it has been dubbed) does that to me. I really try to lay low those days and I purposefully give off a stay away from my vibe. I figure if I always look sooo busy at work people will stay away and thats better than me snapping at them. At home...my poor honey. For a month or two it was rough...now I just buy a new book and try to get really into and read that to occupy my 5 days.

I know it's not the same, but I was on Prometrium for the first 3 months of my pregnancy because of low progesterone, and it really had an awful effect on me. The day I stopped taking it I felt normal (almost) again... a lot of women experience it, unfortunately

Thanks. Yeah, I just did a quick google about side effects and saw that there are lots of cases of emotional issues.
Why is it that doctors neglect to tell us about those?? I mean, I heard all about the potential of blood clots and dizziness, but not a mention about being a basket case!!
Deb - getting a book sounds like the right idea. Harry Potter arrived today, maybe he's the safest human to be around right now!!

Re: Emotional Side Effects?
I have been pretty lucky...The only noticeable side effect I have had (so far) is severe hot flashes from Clomid...other than that not much.
