False positive on an HPT
This is not me sine i just got my AF on monday but any idea whey the early response kits would give a false positive. i feel so bad for my friend who this happened to.

I think it happens a lot. Your friend shoud check out this website - poas
it's pretty helpful and gives lots of info about HPTs

I can only think of two reasons why the false BFP:
1-Evaporation line. The results are effective within that 10min window of POAS.
2-Chemical pg. The BFP was true, but she miscarried shortly after.
Sorry to hear about your friend's disappointment.

I agree. But also First Response AND Answer Early have been having MANY MANY false BFPs lately.

www.peeonastick.com is an excellent website. I just tested for the first time and got a BFP, but after reading this post I am being optimistically cautious not to get too excited until I see my Dr.
