diapers - how many?
Hello moms, I was wondering approximately how many diapers your babies go through in each size?
Newborns - 100? Size 1-2 - 500?
etc... THANK YOU!!!

Re: diapers - how many?
It really depends on the size of the baby. By four months, we were already up to size 4's with Gianni.

Re: diapers - how many?
It really depends. I went thru one pack and my baby was only born at 7lbs 2 oz. He grew fast and leaked fast in them. He wasn't in size 1 for a long time either. I always tell people not to stock up too early on.

I wouldn't stock up too much yet because you don't know what size you will use. My daughter was in newborn for almost 2 months but everyone told me she would be out of them in a week or two.
In the beginning we used about 10 diapers a day now we use probably about 6 a day.

Re: diapers - how many?
my son is 3 months today and already in size 2.. newborn and size one go by very quickly.. IMHO I would rather them be a tad big then just fitting..

Re: diapers - how many?
danielle was born at 8-4, I had two packs of newborn diapers (the large size package) and I had to give half of the second pack away. size 1 diapers are good for 8 - 14 lbs, so if your baby weighs 7 lbs or so, I would say 1 pack of newborns and then size 1's. 500 might be about right, then they'll be in size "1-2" -if you use pampers-for quite a while.

Re: diapers - how many?
We also only used newborn size for about a week. She was 9-10 when she was born. We've been using size 3 now for a while -- and very quickly went through size 1-2.

Re: diapers - how many?
It really does depend on the baby's size. My little one is just 9 weeks and we just switched to size 1. She really could still be in the newborn if they are huggies as they run a bit bigger than pampers.

Re: diapers - how many?
We also never used the newborn size.
Its also hard to know what brand to get in advance. They fit a bit differently, and one may leak while the other won't depending on the shape of your baby...

Re: diapers - how many?
We used Newborn for the first month, then size one. We didnt even get through say 200, before we moved up in size....we skipped size 2 and went straight to size 3. He is 4 months old now and has been in size 3 for quite some time....
