I quit a couple of years ago (cold turkey). It's really hard but believe me it gets better after a few days and you'll be feeling great after a few weeks -- easier breathing etc.
Plus you save some bucks...throw what you would normally pay for cigarettes into a jar for a month or two to save up and treat yourself to something special for a job well done!

I am  I quit for like 9 weeks but then started smoking again after I was put on jury duty for 4 weeks.....too stressful. I am going to take Welbutrin. It worked GREAT for me last time.

I was thinking about taking Wellbutrin...but heard mixed things about it....not sure what to do

good luck to you guys!!! I quit last december 23rd (it was forced, I was in the hospital for 2 months) and I never went back!!! it's a really great feeling, but it was hard at times, now I don't even give it a second thought!!

I would give the wellbutrin a try, It can't hurt. It made it pretty easy for me to quit last time and I think it will be easy this time as well

I'm going to try!!!! Cold turkey worked for me once before... with a little help from Nicotine gum (always on hand in case of emergency if I crave so bad i want to buy a pack)...
I did go back to smoking after like a year, but it's cuz DH smokes too and I couldn't take it after a while. This time, we need to try to quit TOGETHER!

im not a smoker but after watching the newer commericals from NYS about smoking about all the fatty bad stuff that clogs arteries, i would try my hardest to break the habit.
