Re: A salt free diet.
just about everything has salt. I read labels and limited my salt intake bigtime, all in moderation and drank a ton of water. I also elevated my legs to reduce the swelling of my ankles and feet. I also wore Support knee highs - that worked AWESOME!!!!! they still swell from time to time but not like they used too, my friends called me sherman or fred flintstone thats how swollen they would get , not anymore. Good luck

Re: A salt free diet.
This is my biggest challenge right now. I love easting salty foods and it is the worst thing for me right now. My feet are quite swollen today and I get yelled at from girls at work to stop wearing heels. I have to find some nice flats or flip-flops to wear. Oy!

Re: A salt free diet.
I had to towards the end of my pregnancy due to my high blood pressure. It was very hard! I had to cook a lot of things myself, no going out.

Re: A salt free diet.
Im already a bit swollen, and im only 16 weeks. I definitely watching how much salt I have. I have trying to stay away from frozen foods and from putting too much salt on my foods. I feel like you do need some salt though.

Re: A salt free diet.
Hey!
I agree I have been trying to reduce salt because my doctor said I may be at risk for high blood pressure since I am having twins.
Here are some foods to eliminate:
coldcuts, chips, frozen entrees, cheese, pickles, any prepackaged pastas or rice (like rice a roni or lipton rices) & eating out.
I only eat brown rice or whole wheat pasta as a side. I know it its really boring. Of course once in a while I do eat salty food. Usually once a week.
