Q for all you LIRR regulars
how often are the trains late? is it usually significant? (more than 30 minutes)

They are rarely that late and when they are it's usually something huge & system wide - mostly due to inclimate weather, accident or breakdown.

agreed. At the most my train is a few minutes late on select mornings - it is very few and far between.

depends on the weather really. llirr is not bad during the summer.
but when it snows or heavy rain, watch out.
most delays are 5-10 minutes, with the most being 30 minutes- only if a train is disabled.
