I just put a bid on a house in (updated)
Westchester!!! 
I'm so nervous, it just went on the market this morning!!! I also haven't sold my house yet...please pray this all works out!! 
UPDATE: We were the first bidders in at full price 3 hours after it went on the market and we lost it to a lower bidder who didn't have a house to sell (even though we were approved for the mortgage without it being contingent on the sale of our house). We are so sad. This entire week has been horrible - it's just the icing on the cake

Yes we are staying. I loved the house in Brewster, it just was at the top of our price range and needed too much work. We ended up finding a house in Somers. The only downside to me is that it's a cape (I get a bit claustrophobic with the angled walls) - but I really fell in love with it, and would make my room the one downstairs!!! I really hope we get it!!!!

I am so sorry that you did not get the house... I was really hoping you would. How could they not accept the bid? Especially since you had a non mortgage contingency...What do they care as long as they get all the money that they are asking for? I don't understand... Did you have to sell your place to get the downpayment money? What was their time frame?
So weird, Charly. I am sad for you, but cheer up... you will find a terrific house soon!!!!

They went with bidders that were renting. It was a relocation deal so the sellers company was selling it through a relocation company. The relo company was impossible to deal with and wanted to make sure there was no way that the deal could fall through. The buyers have until Wednesday to sign contracts.
Back to square 1!!
