simple rule - i don't wrap things that aren't square or rectangular.

I usually use wrapping paper, but if it's an odd shape or too bulky, I'll use a gift bag.

I used to patiently wrap everything but now with hundreds more people to give gifts to (i.e. all of DH's family) I am leaning more towards gift bags

If the present is easy to wrap - wrapping paper. If not, gift bags. I love giftwrap! I have so many different colors of tissue paper and stuff, DH thinks I am crazy!

I don't think I have those in Westchester. Long Island has much better dollar stores. I miss them.

both. But I am a wrapping fanatic. I have two of those wrapping paper holder things filled with paper, bags, bows etc. I use all this stuff like christmas picks and rafitta (sp?) ....People laugh at me, no one wants to open the gifts. I dont know why I do it either, its a stupid obsession, especially because it COSTS!
Me personally though, when I get a gift I like it wrapped so I can tear it open

I prefer to wrap the presents. Once upon a time I used to sit and carefully fold the awkward shaped ones very carefully...now I just pretty much roll the paper around those and apply tape. The neat boxed ones get all my attention since they are easier.

I cennever get my stuff to look cute int eh bags, the way my Grandma can. I usually wrap, unless it is weird shpaed or I am running late for a party & I stick it in a bag in the car. blush:
Actually, DH usually wraps for me. He used to work in a bookstore, so he says he can wrapped anything shaped like a book. I do the ribbons & all the fun stuff.
Metsgrlie--the lack of good discount stores in Westchester is very upsetting! Where do you live? Rojay Party Warehouse may have some cheap ones. ( there is one on Central Avenue near Cold Stone & one in Mt. Vernon)
