50th Birthday Gift
My dad is turning 50 next Monday...and I am completly stumped on what to get him. My parents aren't millionares...but they really don't go without any needs or wants.
I thought about sending my parents to Vegas for a few days...and a dual Birthday gift...since my mom will be 50 in May....but my mom told me recently that she already has 3 vacation planned for this year and she really doesn't want to be away more than that...because she is taking care of my Grandfather now.
My dad is a simple guy...he would be happy with a gift certificate to the car wash...but its his 50th...and I think that the gift should be really special.
any ideas?

Boating and Scuba diving....but I really can't think of anything he needs or wants for wither hobby.

welll since they met at 2001...adn that is closed...and they went on a group date to Beef Steak Charlie's and that is closed...I don't thikn that is going to work.
although maybe a weekend get away to CoHavens...were they spent their honeymoon...but then we have the issue of my mom not wanting to be away so much.

Boating or sailling? Does he have a boat? I'd suggest a charter around LI or something.
